More of a damp squib than a bang

Unfortunately the 2nd XI, still glowing from the glory of their league triumph last September, are still waiting in the pavilion, gazing out at the rain and longing for the 2019 campaign to get under way. And for company they have the 1st XI still glowing from the glory of their own win last weekend. In the absence of any cricket today, perhaps you would like to relax & enjoy some reverie of past encounters: firstly the match reports from the 1st XI's home encounter with Holborough Anchorians last season (a win); for 2nd XI encounters with Orpington IVs we have to delve a little deeper into the files, however the report of their last (unsuccessful) meeting back at the end of the 2011 season has its own tales to tell.
Hopefully normal service might be resumed next weekend.
