Upchurch v New Ash Green - Away, from the scorecard. Losing the toss New Ash Green were put into field, keen to put last week's defeat behind them. Opener M Sumner (2-24) unseated the home openers: one with a catch from keeper D Freeman with just 11 runs on the board and the other with a run out. No batsman was allowed to get too comfortable and Upchurch were all out for 104 in the 38th over. A Gleeson (4-29) topped the wicket-taking, with I Mellor, J Nash & F Quantrill also contributing one each. Freeman chalked up 3 catches, M Bushe took 2 and P Sumner & Quantrill each took one.
After tea, New Ash Green openers were early casualties, but Freeman (65*) in at No 3 steadied the chase, chalked up his 4th fifty this season and the visitors passed the line with a boundary making it 107-3 in the 25th over. Back to winning ways.
