Every week February-April, members started getting their arms into shape with bat and ball.
Prior to season start, players stepped up for an intensive weekend of rolling helping to get the square ready.
And finally the season started. The sun even came out for the friendly opening match at Faversham.
After work club members turned out to practice,
fine tune their skills, or try out something new at Manor Field.
At Manor Field
Both XIs were taking wickets & snaffling catches in the field - the season included a 7-for, a 6-for & three 5-fors.
And with the bat
hitting out and enjoying the warm, dry weather. Including both XIs chalking up centuries on the same Saturday.
After a damp start, 4 days of cricket playing friendly teams
in the countryside round Bristol.
Results: honours even - 2 wins, 2 not wins.
Second XI Promoted
Winning their league and up for promotion in 2019, the 2nd XI get their just reward for an excellent season.
And Taking the Silverware
The 2nd XI also produced the winners of their league Batting & Bowling Awards - Glen Freeman & Ed Quantrill.
