In a reverse of the 2009 situation the weather leading up to this game was abysmal, but on the Wednesday before it suddenly improved and spring arrived. However the dry sunny weather came too late, with the hosts unable to start preparing their ground in time and as is fast becoming traditional the "clash of the Greens" was once again cancelled.
