Despite the late loss of Scott McKechnie from their side the Hartley mid-week side were far too strong for New Ash Green, who didn't help themselves by missing a few catches along the way. It would be fair to say that no one distinguished themselves a great deal in the field or with the bowling and Hartley declared after 35 overs with 240 on the board.

Adam Brown, Dan Lewsey and Chris Bartram all reached double figures at the top of the order, but no one else could even get half way there, and although most seemed to enjoy the perfect weather a rather one sided game ended predictably early with a heavy defeat for New Ash Green.
