Unlike last year the weather was very promising leading up to the opening fixture, and Mr. Harley had a team selected well in advance, and not just any old team either, but probably the strongest opening match team New Ash Green have fielded for a few years. Sadly as the great day approached the weather deteriorated, and by the Saturday before the game set in drizzle caused the game to be called off.
