Reporting purely from having seen the scorecard Benenden seem to have batted steadily throughout, with Keith Bushell taking 3-31, Mick Sumner being fairly economical and only the 5th bowlers, Dominic Adolphe and Charles Duguid being expensive. In reply New Ash Green started disastrously, and at 38-5 looked out of it. However Vic Mayers (57*) joined Dominic Adolphe (66) in adding 116, a new club record for the 6th wicket, and after Adolphe was out Mick Sumner gave Mayers capable support in wrapping up the victory.
