Another Wednesday night decision, this time without complete certainty. The groundsmen thought that a heatwave lasting into the weekend would make the pitch playable, but as the forecast was rain, rain and more rain we decided to give it up immediately. As I sit here on Saturday and look at the rain I realise what a very good decision it was. The only question is - How on earth did the rain fail to save Kent at Canterbury today???

Well next week's the first league game, so it looks like we're all going in covered in rust - but it should be the same for both sides!
